    Hi to all,

I own an ASUS G1S and just bought a new 22" Samsung monitor. In order to utilize the DVI capabilities of the new monitor, I bought a HDMI to DVI convertor and used that for my dual monitor setup. However, whenever both screens are on, my laptop screen flickers in a way like some kind of heat wave distortion. There is no such problem if I use either of the screens alone, or when I use VGA cable instead.

Any ideas on what might be causing this and the possible solutions?

    Welcome to the forums!

Your issue is most likely a driver related issue. Try install newer drivers from laptopvideo2go.com and see if that helps.

Hi David, thanks for the answer. I installed the latest drivers and the problem has been solved. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Yes both refresh rates were the same (60Hz). Anyways, it's working now :)
