I'm going to be in Taiwan for the summer and I was thinking of buying a notebook while I'm there. Do you happen to know how the Asus warranty works? I know when purchased here in the U.S., Asus notebooks have the 2 year global warranty, but I was wondering if the warranty also works the same way if I bought the notebook in Taiwan and took it back to the U.S. Are there any stores/retailers you can recommend over there in Taiwan?

Before I got my M5Np barebone here in Canada, I was looking at the M5N in Hong Kong. It had 2 year international with it. Although quite a while ago, but I doubt there would be a major difference.
From what I know, there's no such thing as a "Built on Asus" there. They didn't even do custom configs. So I would assume that all are "Ensemble" laptops, thus 2 year international.
