I've been hesitant to pick one up but I have been eyeing one since December.

All I really want is something "on the go" for the following:

    Diablo II
    StarCraft
    WarCraft III
    Titan's Quest
    TorchLight
Knights of the Old Replublic (I and II)
ScummVM (Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle, The Dig, etc.)
    Plants vs. Zombies
    World of Goo
    Sam & Max (Seasons 1 & 2)

As well as Internet and DivX/XviD.

The new Pine Trail netbooks just don't do it for me; the GMA 3150 is painfully weak and the 1024x600 resolution cap is aggrevating.

What is the "real world" battery life on on the 1201N? ASUS claims 5 hours + but would it be more like 2-2.5 hours?

    Thanks.

im pretty much happy with mine :)

be even more happier if ups would drop off the new ram and hdd tomarlo... been a week so far and i did 2day shipping and they keep delaying it...

but ya it does everything i wanted it too do and what that is gaming on the go :)

i think you be happy with it sense it should have no problems playing those games in your list but ony game that will be a bit slow is Titan's Quest sense i tried it on mine but i was surprised it was playable sense its really hard on cpu.

    diablo 2 works good

plants vs zombies also works good

    same with world of goo.

don't have any others in that list but im sure they will play fine.

sense i play really heavy games like mass effects bioshock and on lol

for battery life i say it can get close too 5 hours or maybe over it if you put everything in power save and brightness pretty low.

but full power i get around 3hours and 45min close to 4 but doing heavy stuff like gaming i say around 2hours and a half too 3hours which too me is pretty good but it would've been nice too have a bit more.

and im sure there's gonna be aftermarket battery's so that should give it a nice battery boost

you should look on youtube and look at the gaming videos for the 1201n that would give you a good idea how it performs .
