Hi everyone, just gonna wipe out my new A8Jm. Found the RECOVERY partition in there, should I delete that too or leave it alone?

Any tips I should know before I format my drive?

    Thanks

If you need that extra space, then you can go ahead and delete it. However if you do plan on re-installing using the provided recovery, it will be much faster if the recovery data is on the hdd as opposed to a cd.

PS. Quick question what key combination do i need to press to start system recovery upon boot. It doesn't show anything.

You have a few options to use your 2nd partition. If you have 3rd party image software, a new image of windows can be created to 2nd partition. It will be helpful if 1st-partition windows is corrupt and need to recover it instantly. You can also save your data to 2nd partition if you don't want to save to My document folder(it will be easy to backup and search your data in case you need to format the 1st partition and reinstall a fresh windows. Probably, this way will be faster than using Asus's recovery cd to install a Windows. Of course, if you would like to use factory default setting and Windows, only Asus's recovery cd can do this task.
