    All right.

Had a couple of martinis so did not feel like lookingf or this extensively (barely googled it, to be honest - shame on me). But thought if there was a quick easy answer, it would be quicker to do this.

Is there any way to turn OFF the freakin' touch buttons at the top on the G51 models? (I have the G51J-A1) - it's driving me NUTS because I keep accidently touching them when I have my hand on the Del key.

    Thanks,

    Trish.

lol the touch keys are like 3cm away from the del key, how do u accidentally touch em?

i havent even touched the buttons once in my life tho, FN+space, FN+C or FN+F9 is all i use for the same functions.

i think you've had too many martinis :)

I regularly wipe my laptop to keep it clean and the touch key's get activated, so maybe the same story?

a couple nights ago I fell asleep with my laptop on and my blanket changed my G51 into quiet office mode and I was wondering why it kept going to sleep the next morning and why things were so slow. I thought I somehow broke it from leaving it on too long

Actually it's when I'm deleting a bunch of stuff. My right hand will be on the arrow keys, whereas I will use my left hand index finger on the delete key - so my other fingers hover above and keep touching those freakin' keys!

lol pressing the DEL key when typing and wiping down a kb is COMPLETELY different. you are quite prone to hitting the buttons when u grab a microfiber cloth and wipe the top area. i guess you can say i have "touched" the buttons on top, altho never when it was on as my cleaning frenzy always starts when i power down the machine.

lol at ur situation tho, i tried to replicate it, and it actually does happen! but y dont u just use the rite hand for del key and left hand for arrows since im guessing u use the arrows to select stuff on screen and most likely not using ur mouse?
