Free Asus Hard Case with Wheels, Locks and Pull Handle

This is not a promo. Its just free stuff. We got 5 asus hard case travel briefcases left we need to get rid of. Instead of selling them or giving them away to friends and family who will not use them i though it be nice to give back to the people that made this forum happen and go from 3 active users at any moment a year ago to sometimes 50 or so active registered users now. The pre-requisite is a post count of 500 on this forum. Not just the asus section but the whole forum however you must be atleast a frequent poster on the asus forum. Known Resellers are not elligible. I have 3 (8 total) for the mods here as well but this is meant mostly for non mod users who love posting here. These are free. We pay for ground shipping. We will not send anything overseas or to neighboring countries. We will only ship to the 48 states. l could have used this with my next laptop after l replace my V4000T.

 

Thats fine mods are allowed just pm your addy to me if you think you can use something like this. if you dont have a use fro something like that then...... Its a travel case so if you dont travel its worthless unles syou want to look like a total nerd lugging it around.

 

Any chance of me getting in on this? l go to Maine somewhat often (2-3 times a month) and l live in NJ. Since l have a laptop now and you know i'll be getting a replacement soon is there a chance of me scoring one of these?

 

If by midnight eastern there are less then 5 regular posters that qualify you got one.
As you can see there are not too many with 500 posts that are not mods or resellers

 

I do travel so I might make use of it. But here is my question just to make sure I will be using it, else let someone else benifit from it.

If I was using this with the Z35f, which I'll be ordering once it comes in, would it leave me some space to stick a cellphone, MP3 player, and a small point and shoot camera in there without having them scratch the notebook?

Nah its not pink lol. Its a silver type of color. Almost looks aluminum but its not. Again if by midnight there are not enough 500 posters that want this i will allow any "frequent" posters to grab them. Its big enough to fit all asus models except the z83v which is just a smigen too big for it. I imagine it can fit the w2v but i have not tried. For na small notebook like z35 you will have alot of extra room for a celly. Actually there are trap compartments in there for ac adapters and such and also more room in the back of the black cover you see in the pic. its a pretty thick case.

Well like i said if by midnight eastern there are less then 3 mods and 5 regular posters i ll allow all "frequent" posters who posted here to take one. Actually i already see 5 posters so if no 500 marks make it then you guys get one each.

 

Well as I mentioned in my PM to you.. if you do not have people who qualify by your standards I would like to be one of the dafualts people to get it... I will be happy to pay the postage... you are very generous to give these away.

Rest asured it is. The luggage handlers cant do anything to it. I kicked the **** out of it and then kicked the **** out of it some more. Its one tough case but that dont mean that your harddrive wont break if its thrown off the roof with your lappy in it.

:::Achem::: Don't think it hasn't occurred to me. There are a few who have a good number more posts per day than I do. The mods and admins really do a great job keeping this place (e-place?) in shape ... which means they're bigger freaks than me in that respect (though I'm sure I can out-freak almost anyone in other ways, which sounds like a strange and/or offensive offer).

 

Heys, I doubt I will have 500 posts by midnight(eastern) as I live in Honolulu, Hawaii. If there is one left that doesnt get sent to the "500 club", I would appreciate getting one as I do travel. I will pay for postage of course as well. Nice gesture all in all though!

Plus, the power bars for ASUS units are usually small and won't pack a punch when using it to fend off theives. Except for the Z81sp, but still. Don't want to damage the laptop neither.

I just jumped at the chance to get something free.

I don't travel often at all, so I probably won't give this case a lot of use and it would probably go to waste if given to me.

It seems checking this case wouldn't be the best idea. In addition to the fact that I wouldn't want to check my laptop in the first place (for fear of damage), this case screams, "Check inside me for a bomb or computer," which ends up as a plea for theft. For carry-on or other travel uses, though, sweet.

By the way, next time you check a bag at the airport, do try to see how they handle it. They really don't care sometimes.

Been working my day job and keeping the home front happy. Missed this when it came out but I can at least increase my post number now for the next time you want to clear out some inventory.
