Nice offer for the ASUS hard case. I happen to own this case that came free(a $120 value) as a promo offer that came with my Z81sp. I have found this case for hauling my 9 pound notebook to school and to the local hotspots a breeze.

Well the only thing I can't fit in this case is my power brick since the Z81sp is so thick/bulky so i have to carry it in another case which is not a problem. I think that this case was more designed for smaller notebooks like the Z70va

It's a nice case, but I personally wouldn't use it as an eveyday case. It's a brief case. I'd look like a dork carrying that thing around.

Even still if I were traveling a lot I'd use it.

Still a really, really nice case. I'd buy one if I traveled a lot.

Wow, lucky me l had both a UPS truck and a Fedex truck at my door today

The case is beautiful and l love every bit of it but one thing irks me: the instructions on how to set the 3-digit combo. Theres a index sized card with instructions for everything but it's not in English and l honestly have no idea what language it is. But that's not gonna stop me from loving the case since l don't really need the combo

000 is the base combination to the lock i believe. No clue on how to rest it or change it as i cant read the instruction card either. Catch 22. Thast why they were free

Wow. This thing is awesome. It actually fits my 17" Fujitsu like a glove, no squeeze in and not a mm to spare. And I think it will fit the Z35f, on top, once I get it, in the upper compartment, for the times when I need to multiplay over the atlantic at 40K feet . Just kiddin, once I get the Z35f this bulky 17"er won't move again (no more vacations for it )

BTW absolutely light. So even with the tanker 17" in there it is still reasonable to carry

Anyway this is how to do it. Remove the foam so that you can see what you are doing. Remove that red rubber from around the little metal stick/button. move it from position B to A. Set the code you want (notice the lock won't engage when at 'A'), return the stick back to B, return the rubber and foam ... congrats, you have changed the key

Wow, I got mines today, and it looks bigger then I thought. I can probrably fit two laptops on top of each other in the bottom part, and then alot more stuff on the top part!

I am just wondering what notebook do you have and are you able to fit your powerbrick inside the case because,my friend wants to get the Z70va and is thinking about getting this case (after seeing mine)? As I said in my other post, I can't fit my powerbrick in it since the Z81sp is too darn bulky

 

Just got my USB HD enclosure. Sweet deal. I just plugged in a spare fujitsu 40 gigger and it works flawlessly. Even comes with a screwdriver ! Edds your the man. (Shipped to me next day btw).

Androo, what kind of enclosure is it? I can't wait for mine, going to go out and get a new harddrive and use the one I have for the enclosure.

 

Which case? The ASUS roller?

If so, my V6va fits very well, with LOTS of room to spare. The powerbrick is tiny and it fits into the side of the case, where the protector splits the notebook area.

Some of you who are shipping to hawaii i am sorry but i cant do it unless difference in air is paid. As i said in my first post 48 states only. I made en exception for canada becuase we can still use ground there and it dont really cost more. I cant ship priority usps either as we dont have pickup with them.
