This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    But if you don't have it, don't despair, because all you have to do is go to http://support.asus.com/download
    For Product put Notebook, For Series put Apps, and for Series look for WINDVD. Now pick your OS and download the WinDVD 9.0 that is entitled to all Asus computers.

    I've already tried to install on my G72GX from best buy and it works. However the Asus version is a limited feature version so it only plays from discs such as DVD or Blu-ray or CDs. It doesn't play files off the hdd.
