I purchased a G1S-A1 in July and immediately went overseas for a month. The backpack that came with my laptop had a damaged zipper (came that way in the plastic bag) so I contacted Asus and they told be to contact customer service. So upon my return I did just that. Unfortunately, according to customer service, the backpack is considered a "free gift" and not covered for replacement. You would think that something as simple as a backpack could be replaced easily however I guess this is not the case.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get Asus to send me a replacement. If not if anyone out there has one of these packs they would like to get rid of let me know and I'll take it off your hands for a reasonable cost.
<----UPDATE---->
Asus did finally give me an RMA... not through Customer Service but through Tech Support. I shipped the defective backpack via Fedex against their account and received my new backpack this week.
