This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm looking at getting a new machine in the next few weeks. Ive posted already in the buying advice forum. I've decided on the Asus G series. Most likely G50V or G70S. Apart from screen size is there any real noticeable difference in performance? Is the price difference reasonable??

    I'd really like to get the G51 so the same question compared to the two above. I'd love the G71 but no way I can afford the nearly 4 grand pricetag.
