I have 2 questions about playing DVDs on my G1. Adonis asked one of these questions in the G1 owner's lounge but no one responded and its on page 22 or something so....

    1) How do I use the DVD buttons on the front of the PC? From off, if I press the DVD power button it fires up the PC but without the screen coming on, but nothing seems to happen next. I have a DVD in the DVD drive, and try pressing the play button, ffwd button etc but can't get anything to work.

    2) Whats the best way to play a normal DVD from within the normal windows (XP) environment? Are people using the packaged Asus DVD software? I've tried this but it seems I need to select files off the dvd, add them into the player and then play them one at a time (each file being a scene or section of the DVD). What I'd like to do is access the DVD just like you would on a stand alone DVD player - ie you stick it in and it displays the menu screen (select language, scene etc) and to click on that screen to play. I've not really used my PC to play DVDs before so apologies if this is a bit of a 'simple' question.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Jammy

    1) DVD? You can only play audio cds on there. That's why its called Audio DJ. So only audio CDs will play through your speakers when your laptop is switched off.

    2) I use Asus software, normally when I put in a DVD movie, the popup-window gives me options like windows media player, browse cd, watch through AsusDvd, I select that option, and it opens up normally.
