    (Running Vista Home Pro)

So, I noticed some problems a while ago when my old drivers (101.70?) were no longer working properly, opengl and multiple screen modes were not working. I let it be because I didnt need those things too much.
Yesterday, when I did, and updated the drivers(167.45), I got opengl to work. But after that, all hell broke loose.

-First of all, I noticed that every time I alt-tab, gamma goes to zero or so. It was somehow Atitool's fault, but It occured even if Atitool wasnt running.
-OVERCLOCKING. I can't get it to work anymore. I've been playing around with the drivers and it seems dependant on the moon and sun's position if it works or not. I use AtiTool 0.27 Beta 4 and Ntune(which unlocks the overclocking for nvidia control panel).

-General sloppyness. I have absolutely no idea how display drivers can cause this, but after updating the drivers my hdd/memory speed somehow sucks and everything loads a bit slower.
-> Leads to my main concern right now. I deleted all drivers and atitool and Ntune and those things, then updated bios to 209 and after playing a while with the display drivers, I noticed that I dont get the little animation after changing brightness etc. Not only that, but the FN-combination for changing volume and mute does not work!
Im not sure at what point this happened and not even sure if it was before this whole mess, but I did update Vista earlier yesterday. It had Media Center update along with some others, and that leads me to suspect the updates are at fault to some degree. Because the PWR -Button at the front USED to open media player, but no longer does.
I've uninstalled all the updates that I installed but it didnt help.

    Situation now:

Bios is 209, Drivers are Xtreme-G Mobile 163.67 Vista 32bit, I have Ntune 5.05.54.00 and Atitool 0.27 Beta 4 installed. Uninstalled Vista updates I had installed yesterday earlier.

    - FN-volume up, volume down, mute not working
    - No animations for FN-Combinations!!!
    - Cant overclock (displays the clocks ok, displays temperature, lets me move the sliders but resets to normal after 'set clock'

Could someone clarify where do the animations come from, why is overclocking so god damn hard and why when I try to fix something I just get loads of more problems :(

I just noticed that the button to disable Touchpad isnt working either. So probably has to do something with the Bios ? I flashed with Winflash and nothing went wrong during it..

More into the problem.. Isnt ATKOSD.EXE (or similar) for hotkey function ? I downloaded the newest ones from asus.com and tried installing, but no change.
I dont have ATKOSD.EXE process running and cannot find the .exe anywhere..
