I am currently using my default graphics drivers for my Asus G1 laptop. I am totally happy with it.
I am running Windows XP SP2.

I have heard some people uses www.laptopvideo2go.com to download their Nvidia Geforce drivers, do you use it and which one? And is it really "faster" than the default drivers?

Reply with your answer and vote on the poll!
Just for interest to see whos using what.

Default ones I got off ASUS for XP, do the laptop2go one's any good performance wise? Or they all hype and not really different?

I use the default Vista drivers on my G1. I'm happy with the performance with Half Life 2 and Titan Quest

Methinks someone should guinea pig these drivers =P

Worst Case Scenario: it crashes once and you roll the drivers back in safe mode.

Any takers? I am interested because I am going to be optimising my G1S once I get one and would love to know if these guys live up to the talk.

No one using the NGO NVIDIA Optimized Drivers? The NGO ATI drivers seems to have much better performance than the stock ATI drivers according to my friend's 7800GTX. I think the NGO nvidia drivers usually have better performance although some resolutions may not be usable. ie. can only use native resolution... And also, sometimes the default nvidia drivers doesn't support laptop gpu but the NGO ones and the laptopvideo2go drivers does... ;)

Actually, the laptopvideo2go drivers are standard (non-modified/optimized) drivers with only and INF-file changed so they can be installed on all GPUs. This allows you to use the latest drivers, which is why they sometimes are said to be "faster". Right now I'm using 165.01 vista32 drivers and they are quite good (better than the ones on asus's homepage as far as i can tell).

I've been looking for drivers left and right so i can get rid of the "You display driver was not responding and has recovered" blah blah blah. Only happens sometimes... I think windows dreamscene is the culprit.

Is it possible that someone can put up their benchmarks for default drivers and laptopvideo2go drivers so we can compare?

Make sure you insert the OS, app (eg. 3DMark, etc) and driver you used.

I can't remember which thread, but someone posted benchmarks for both drivers in Vista. Hopefully someone posts in XP. I'm hoping I'll get a good performance boost by "upgrading" to XP.
