I received my G1 with vista home edition pre-installed, everything was working fine until I decided to format & install Vista Ultimate, my instant keys and volume keys don't want to work.

I installed all the programs that came with the computer CD. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I want back the nice graphics that displays on the screen when i press the volume keys. ;)

    Thanks in advance

Yes, all you need is the ATK ACPI driver to get the instant keys working :)

Finally I got it to work. The trick is that I have to remove old installation, reboot, then install clean copy for the ATK drivers. One of ASUS "Genuis" customer support adviced me to take off vista ultimate and re-install vista Home for the keys to work again... maybe he was sleeping or something. :D

LOL, you can really tell they don't like software related issues, but when it comes to hardware issues, they are a excellent at fixing and dealing with it,

    haha
reinstall the windows driver was not the genius advice this time? i love it. why would you even call them for a software issue. they may as well hire a palm reader to help people with software issues.
