    What can you set to appear on the OLED screen besides of time, some words and email/messenger? How can you do it>?

    You can also put some icons...It's all in the booklet that came with your G1, page 34...that's pretty much it...in my opinion one way to practically use it, is to disable the clock in your taskbar and use the clock on the OLED screen. You will have more space on your taskbar, and if you get rid of even more icons, the better, in my opinion

    The OLED is an exercise in pointlessness.

    Why not have it show the CPU/GPU temperatures or other system critical information?

    The NB probe is pointless for that matter as well.....

    Here's what you can do,

    If you change it from the default setting and create your own message you will notice in the c:\program files\asus\Asus Direct Console\ directory there is a file now called UserMode.bmp, You can edit this bmp to look however you want. The next time the Direct Console application launches it will use what's in the bmp and display it on the oled.

    Can you update direct console to show a new bmp without relaunching DC?

    I have not found a way yet, I've explored the dlls and exes and there don't seem to be any public functions or sub routines that could be called.
