Hello everyone!
Last week I finally bought G1 and so far I'm very happy with it. It came with Vista Home Premium pre-installed which works very smoothly and I have no intention switching it to XP.
Anyway, as you all know there are pre-programmed Asus Hotkeys which are used to switch power mode, open default web browser, email client etc...
The problem is that they are working, but email key and browser keys somehow openning different profiles from what I open using shortcut icons. In other words if I click on IE icon and pre-configure it to my preferences (links, bars etc...), and when I open IE using hotkey, it behaves like its opening some other user settings, so basically I have two different pre-configured browsers. Same goes to Outlook 2007. I suspect that hotkeys are using some sort of /params to load the clients.
My question is.. Are there any utulities that lets you re-program default hotkeys on G1 for Vista to deal with this problem? I also wanted to change the media keys to control iTunes instead of WMP11.
I know this was posssible using my old Asus M6000 with some patched asus util and by modifying windows registry values.
Any help is appreciated.
