Does anyone here use the Asus G1 for music production? Sequencing, recording, etc.? I'm primarily concerned with the speed of the hard disk and possible noise issues related to the hard disk and the fans. Any input you can offer is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

Well if it means anything, it's easy enough to just switch out the hard drive for another if it bothors you enough.

Certainly, swapping out the hard drive is an option, but I'm just not sure if it's worth voiding the warranty: especially since this computer already has my ideal CPU and amount of RAM. If I have to swap hard drives I might as well go with a more customizable computer and preserve my warranty.

Are you sure that swapping hard drives will void your warranty? Espescially with Asus notebooks I wouldn't think that would be the case.
