This is completely random when it happens, but sometimes when I turn on my G1 I don't get sound. There's no icon at the bottom right corner of the screen for the volume when this happens and I was just wondering how I can go about fixing this problem?

I'm using Xp and it has never crashed. Where can I download the correct drivers for the sound?

Go to ASUS.com, find your laptop. There is a download link.Click it.And you'll se it all.[I think you have to active scripts to view it correctly]

Out of curiosity, do you have ZoneAlarm, and if so, did you recently update it to version 7?

I recently got the same problem you described, and I think the last change I made was updating ZoneAlarm. In addition, TrueVector (a zonealarm service) randomly crashed a couple of times; this never used to happen before.
