    Hi guys,

I'm playing FM07 on my G1 and unable to alt tab out of game.

It's ok with other applications. Any advise on how I can do this?

Is the alt and/or tab configured as an in game button when your playing? Try alt, windows and tab.

Also, some games don't respond well to alt+tab *cough*oblivion*cough*, so it could be that

actually, i can alt+tab out of oblivion as well, but then i (usually) can't alt+tab in again. It was like this on my old desktop as well, so it's nothing new.

that's also different from game to game, but that hasn't happened to me in quite a while... allthough the only games i've played for quite a while are oblvion, f.e.a.r., warcraft 3 and heroes V...

I also occasionaly have that with games.. Think it's just a problem that goes with some games. Nothing you can do about it.. If alt+tab doesn't work i always use ctrl+alt+del... Then you go back to windows and the task manager is opened, just click that away, do what you got to do in windows and then just go back to the game by clicking on it in your taskbar...

Its quite possible the instability you have with oblivian would go away if you had 2gb

because I can go in and out of it and put it in a window

Quite possibly so. My 3½ year old desktop also had 1 gb memory (and a radeon 9800 pro, man that card was good) and like i said, the same thing happened on it. And i just got a job, so soon i'll be ablle to afford a second stick, but it's not in my budget right now.

Honestly it is really hard to tell why somes games have problems and others don't, or even why a computer has a problem of atl-tabbing while another doesn't.

I can give you several examples, my desktop with 1Gb of ram, can't alt+tab aswell as my laptop with 1GB. But with 2GB in the LG S1, that thing can alt+tab like no tomorrow!

When playing Oblivion on the LG S1 with 2GB I was unable to alt+tab and unable to take screenshots, that was weird, all other laptops I've done reviews were able to alt+tab and take screen shots, but did so with 1GB and 2GB of ram.

There are some alternative ways to minimize.

    1) Press the Windows Key
    2) Windows + - could bring you to your desktop
    3) CTRL+ALT+Del - brings up the task manager in the game, and allows for you to rightclick on the game and select minimize, or do so by keyboard.
    4) Use Minimizer programs
