I have a G1P running Vista 32-bit. I have a Viewsonic VP171B hooked into the DVI out and have set up the desktop to extend right to left from my laptop.

So here's the problem--every 30 minutes or so the screens briefly turn off, and when they go back on the displays have reverted to a left to right extension. Every time I turn on the computer it is in this mode. Sometimes there is a message in the taskbar about a display problem from which the computer has recovered.

I'm thinking maybe my display driver is outdated but I can't seem to find a new one. It's 7.15.10.9754

If anyone has some useful suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

If these are the stock drivers, you could try modded drivers -- but at the risk of possibly getting other issues.

I've never used modded drivers so I can't recommend a good site... But I'm sure other members will know all about it. :)

what exactly happens after 30 min? is the display set to time out and turn off? if your power settings just so happen to shut the monitor down that can be one cause. I am guessing this does not happen while you are actually looking at the monitor? or this happens as you are looking at something'?
