Is there anyway to switch to standard aspect ratio from widescreen to play older games such as Starcraft? I don't see any options in the nTune NVIDIA Control Panel. Is there any sort of program I can use to emulate a standard aspect ratio environment? Thanks

You can't just select a standard aspect ratio in the game?

Yeah, just choose 1024x768 or whatever.

If you are using the stock drivers that came with the G1S, you probably noticed that the option in the nvidia control panel to "Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio" is greyed out. That is the option you want to run other resolutions (such as 4:3) without having the image stretch (instead, it boxes your screen). There are a couple of simple ways to fix this. One, download the latest driver from laptopvideo2go. The option won't be greyed out for these. The other option is to pick a different resolution in the control panel (say, 1024x768). It will be stretched. But for some reason, this un-greys the "Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio" option in the control panel. Now that it is un-greyed, select that option. Now click the button to go back to your native resolution (1680x1050). The option becomes grey again, but it is now selected. When you choose other aspect ratios than 16:10 in games, it should now be fix-scaled rather than stretched.
