How is your router setup. I'm assuming you have some sort of WEP or WAP encryption. Is your ssid set to broadcast. If you don't know how your router is setup you will not be able to connect to it unless it is unsecured (which I would never recommend).

It should auto connect to an unsecured wireless router. So you'll have to turn security off on your router.

Also confirm that your wireless card is turned on. Using the fn key and the F2 key should toggle it on and off.

    1) Log into your router
    2) Go to Setup > Wireless Settings
    3) Make sure Security Mode is set to Disable Wireless Security (not recommended)
    4) make sure Enable Hidden Wireless is unchecked.
    5) Write down the Wireless Network Name, it will be used to connect to the wireless router.
    6) Save the settings if you had to change them.

    Now go here http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg0406.mspx

    1) Scroll down to The Connect to a network dialog box
    2) Follow the instructions.

You should be able to connect.
