    Hey guys,

I have a question about the HDMI output of the G1S. Is it the equivalent of (or higher than) a dual-link DVI port? I basically want to know if it will support 2560x1600 (the standard 30" native resolution). I realize I would need an HDMI to DVI converter but that's easy enough. I'm more worried about the laptop being able to output to such a high resolution.

    Thanks,
    Factor

To know this we would need to find out if the its a HDMI 1.3 port.
    HDMI 1.3 supports WQXGA (2560x1600)
HDMI 1.2 and below "only" WUXGA (1920x1200)

I am unable to find this info.

I haven't seen a dual link HDMI port on any device yet although it is part of the spec. Even if the G1S supports HDMI 1.3 your monitor will also have to support the higher bandwidth.

The wording in the article is a little trick but it is still not a good sign.

So if the C90 is the first, I doubt the G1S will, although it still could because I am not sure of the time frame of the release of the G1 S with the C90. Anyone know?
