    The G1S will be arriving next week and I need to get a surge protector.

    I'm going to get one of these two, but I'm not sure which one I need.

    How many Pins does the G1S AC Adapter have?

    APC Notebook Surge Protector:

    or:

    That refers to whether or not you have a ground hole in your outlet.

    If you don't have the 3rd hole in the wall, you won't be able to install the surge. See exhibit a, top prong:

    It's 3 pin. I've got the same in line surge suppressor.
