    My G1S's DVD drive shakes (similar to the rumble feature on a console controller) when i read the Unreal Tournament 3 disk. the rumbling causes the entire laptop to shake plus it makes a really loud sound. Applying a little pressure to the side of the drive causes the noise to stop and it also stops a bit of the shaking. Is this normal?
    thanks =]

    It is not normal, but it's typical. The ODD unit is not very well fixed on the G1S models. This is made worse by unevenly balanced disks (like disks with unbalanced / funnily shaped labels).

    Yeah, I had the same problem with the Crysis DVD on my G1S. It vibrated the laptop pretty bad.

    So I went back to Best Buy to exchange the disk. I told them the problem and they let me exchange it with no hassle.

    Good thing too since the new Crysis disk does not cause vibration on my laptop anymore!
