I have had this g1s since April of this year. Today there was an X next to the speaker icon. When I mouse over it says "No audio device is installed".

I did troubleshooting...like reinstalling the drivers but that didn't work.

There is NO sound when I boot it up so my fear is that the sound card is DEAD.

I have let it cool...rebooted (several times) and still have the same problem.

    Thoughts / Ideas / Suggestions?

    Happy New Year!
