So I've loved my G1S-A1 for over a month now, and I finally got an HDMI to HDMI cable to go from my laptop to our also new HDTV.

Video displays great, it's clear and awesome.

However, audio still comes from the laptop speakers. I tried nosing around a little, but i'm not sure how to output the audio onto the HDTV.

    Any ideas? Much appreciated.

Go to your sound settings and Enable SPDIF or something as the default device then sounds will start comming out of your TV.

like I said, I nosed around a little, but there are only two icons under playback: Speakers and Realtek Digital Output.

There is no SPDIF or HDMI from what I've seen of google searching.

Enable Realtek Digital output as default device and disable speakers if possible. Try restarting or re-plugging in the hdmi cable

If that doesnt work then maybe updating the drivers might help.
