I'm going to be getting my G1S on Thursday and I can't even explain how excited I am. I was wondering, how are the LED lights on the side of the laptop. I know the pictures show them both being green. Are they both that way in real life? And if they're green, is it a constant glow or does it flicker? If they're different colors, can somebody provide me with some pictures?

I have another question about the power and ac adapter. If I decided to take off the battery and just plug in the ac adaptor, the laptop wouldn't run out of power correct (unless it was unplugged)? I know it's a dumb question but I just want to be sure. And if I have a the battery in and it's charging, am I supposed to take it out when it reaches 90%? I'm thinking if that's the case it's because the performance will be lower if you keep it plugging in. I just want to have all this clarified. Thanks!

It'll run when you take out the battery and have the power plugged in, no problem.

The flashing lights are controlled by the 'direct console' item. I turned mine off since it was always flashing. When off, it's just a green area on the sides. Kinda shiny, but not that bad.

Not to mention if you have direct console LED's running they will flash non-stop if you are running with the Vista Aero theme. If you switch to vista basic they wont run, only when in games. Just a tid bit i thought id add.

How would you go about getting to the direct console and disabling them?
