Hey guys last night I decided to run a overnight RAM test, and unfortunately it came back with 22 errors.

The odd thing is, all the errors were at the same address, and at the same RAM size. I didn't record the information, though I will try it out again to do so if necessary.

The RAM issues, plus the dead/lit pixels, plus the issues with the HDD (I'll be running a test to confirm that as well), I'm really thinking my best option is to have NCIX.com replace it with a brand new unit. The only problem with that is I'll have to pay for shipping, but luckily it isn't very expensive.

I definitely love this laptop, and have no desire to get a different one.. But it does piss me off that there are so many issues with this one. Then again, I seem to have very bad luck when it comes to electronics lol.

Any recommendations you guys can provide me? I want to avoid using the ASUS warranty service since I've only had it for 9 days.

That mem tests finds all errors at the same address is understandable. Memtests runs the same test many many times in a loop so it tests the same block many times. You probably have only one broken sector in your ram and not 22. It just found the same broken sector 22 times.

I agree. you should try to get a replacment. There is no fix for memory errors except to change the ram stick.

most likely ncix will refuse to accept a replacement. most resellers refer their customers over to asus after sales. doesn't mean you shouldn't try though....

anyway, you should do it sooner rather than later b/c the zero dot policy ends in 30 days, so you won't be able to get your screen fixed after that.
