Hey everybody! Long time no talk (for those who remember me!hahaha :p )

Hum well, guess what, I got a problem Hey! :D

Heres the problem: I have a G1S and I wanted to formet my laptop using the recovery disc given with the computer by Asus. The thing is that my G1S doesnt boot from the disc, it just starts normally and nothing happens. If I go in "My Computer" and on the E: drive well I see the cd with different files but I cant use them in any way.

Can anybody help me? Thanks alot, the help is greatly appreciated!!! :) :) :)

You need to tell the computer to boot off the CD. To do that, insert the CD, reboot, and press ESC at the ASUS splashscreen. You will then get a list of bootable devices. Select the CD/DVD.

That should do the trick. Otherwise go to the BIOS and change the order of the boot devices to have the ODD in the 1st place.

You are aware that you can also recover from HDD in around10-20 minutes instead of 4hours, right? The disadvantage is that you can't bypass the bloatware installations.
