    Hi guys,

A recent quirk with my G1S has occured - I can't change the speaker volume using the Fn keys any more. Normally the little picture of the speaker comes up and I can change volume, but now no picture comes up and the volume won't change. Has anyone heard of this happening to others and what may have caused it?

    Thanks,

    Petrov.

    Right, classical advice.

Remove and reinstall ACPI drivers and utility. Perhaps replace with a newer version from support.asus.com if one is available.

Hi there, it looks like the same problem I'm having with the "sensitive" quicklaunch buttons on my HP HDX.

Under the device manager, I can see many ACPI drivers (fan, power button, etc). Is it safe to delete/uninstall them all? Will they get automatically installed again by Vista? How do I know which ACPI driver is related to the sensitive quicklaunch buttons?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Just reinstall the ATK0100 driver from the Asus website.

The easiest is to remove them from the Add/Remove Software, I think.

It's better to remove before reinstalling, in my opinion. Gives a slightly cleaner result.
