What specific problem are you having? We might be able to help if you can give more details.

I think there was a problem with recovery from Hib/SB that was taken care of with a BIOS update, but that was discussed a long time ago and you might need to search for it?

    Hello Kabal,

Please be more specific. What exactly happens when you try to Standby or Hibernate your computer? Do you get an error message? Are you forced to a reboot? Etc...

    HI.
    Thanks for answers.
I have clean install of XP SP2. All drivers installed. Drivers GPU 163.67 from laptopvideo2go.

And... when I try standby.. system goes almost to standby: (screnn get black) but notebook is still on..led is shine (not blinking), fan is still on and there is no reaction when i clicking power-off or any keyboard key... I must turn off notebook manually (press & hold power-off button by 5s)

When I try hibernate.. situation is similar. System try hibernate, show info that system try to go to hibernate..and in this place system stops. No reaction for any key (power-off, ctrl+alt+del etc.). I must manualy power-off notebook (press & hold power-off button by 5s).

I beg to say that in Windows Vista Ultimate I dont have any problems with standby.. everything works fine. Unfortunately hibernation in Vista is unavilable.

    Sory for my language ;)

Sorry Kabal, the one issue on hibernation that I do know how to solve is not your problem.

I would try contacting ASUS and Microsoft support. Also, be sure to search Microsoft's Knowledge Base for that problem.

Sorry I can't lend more help. Good luck!
