When I tried watching a movie on my TV through my HDMI port, I was getting audio from both the TV and from the laptop. Is there a way to only run the audio from the TV? Also, the screen is cut off by like 2 inches off screen all around.

I am running XP with 169.09 video drivers. This never happened when I was running Vista.

Anyone know how to fix it?

I'm having similar problems with my Sager NP2090 through the S-Video port, but I'm running Vista.

But for audio to run through your TV you'll need to plug in an 1/8" audio to RCA cable into your speaker jack.

The sound runs through the HDMI cable fine, however, there is still sound coming out of the laptop's speakers. And if I mute the laptop speakers, it also mutes the sound from the TV... the two sound sources are not independent like when I was running with vista.

The only solution, is too turn off stereo. I am running Realtech, and under property of realtek, software turn the nob to the left. You then hear it only on TV. I am running XP64 and there is no way to distinguish local and output sound using HDMI. Vista driver can actually switch it, but not XP. Good luck

In vista i had my G1S running just fine with my 50" TV via HDMI. I just selected Realtek Digital Audio Output as my default, and when it wasnt connected to my TV i would change back to Speakers.

But now i downgraded to XP, and it cant tell the difference between HD sound and normal one, so when i connect my laptop to the TV i can hear both the laptop's speakers and the sound system of my TV.

Im using WDM_R186.exe as audio drivers.

    Have anyone fixed this?

PS: If i lower "Master Volume" i can hear my TV sound system and the laptop's speakers dont sound at all, and if i lower "Wave" volume both stop sounding.
