I have been feeling more and more animosity lately between people investing in these computers. I would like for this to be a thread where we can discuss the ADvantages of each system, setting them all equal as overall laptops. I want to see if it is possible to agree on the pros and the cons of each system, so that when someone asks, "Which one should I get" we can have the list ready without a flame war or argument.

    This is what I have

    G1S:
    Pro:
-It is actually available for purchase
-It performance well with today's games
-It has very nice connectivity options
-Lots of small but nice extras (OLED, Lightscribe, bag, mouse, etc.)
    Con:
-The styling is a bit eccentric, take it or leave it
-It is on the pricey side (compared to the other two)
-Aside from a couple options you really just have to accept what Asus gives you

    C90:
    Pro:
-It will have killer parts (upgradible or not)
-It will be cheaper than the G1S
-It has more conservative styling that most can at least not object to
    -Price/Performance is the best
    -Built for overclocking
    Con:
-It isn't out so all of this may be total bullocks (i.e. probably the notebook we know the absolute least about)
-Big jet engine on the back
-Conroes aren't as bad as old Pentiums, but are still pretty toasty
-It is hard to spell upgradible -able? ibility? whatev.

    Compal IFL90:
    Pro
-It will have better or at least similar performance to the G1S
-It will be the cheapest option
    -Best Warranty
-Price/Performance rivals the C90 (not better than, but damn close)
    Con
-It doesn't have a real release timeline yet (mid-late-early June-July-August doesn't count as a timeline)
-Styling is...not well recieved by most.

Feel free to add or subtract from the list, including but not limited to:
-Other models in the same performance range
    -Cons
    -Pros
    -questions

I purposefully put this out before two of the candidates were released because many are preordering and the points are still valid. Also, please add other models if you feel they are suitable and please no fighting. If someone disagrees and gives a sound explanation of why then it will be taken off of the list.

I really hope this catches on.

If the C90 gets a 8700 I'll be a happy bunny so I'll leave it at that.

Until the fact both are out, reviewed by various end users(and not dealers), then, and only then can we make fair judgments and statements. Even then, one persons PoS is another's jewel, so it's all based on personal preferences.
