Hi all. I recently tried to enable Internet Connection Sharing for my wireless in Vista Ultimate x64 on my G1S. I have all the latest drivers installed. This means that my wireless drivers are up-to-date. Whenever I try and enable ICS, I get an error saying it could not be enabled. All required dependencies/services are enabled and are working. I confirmed this by enabling ICS on my wired internet connection.
I am trying to figure out whether this error (there is no error code or description) is due the lack of something in the Intel Wifi drivers (Intel Wireless Pro is now Intel Wifi as of several driver update cycles). If anyone else with Vista x64, doesn't matter if it's Basic, Home Premium, Business, or Ultimate, could please try and enable Internet Connection Sharing on their G1S for their wireless connection and report back whether it works or not, I would really appreciate it. I have asked my best friend Google and although she has been good to me in the past, she broke my heart.![]()
I'd really appreciate if people could report back.
Thanks![]()

If you updated the the drivers from WU then that might be youre problem because they are usually hit or miss; rollback to default drivers and if they work. (they work for me and i have the G1S)

I got my wireless driver from the Intel website. Thanks though.

I still think you should roll back and try.

Can't roll back because the only wireless driver I ever installed was from the Intel website. I have no older wireless drivers on my system.

Then remove it and install stock drivers from support.asus.com
