    Hi :)

I have Windows XP installed + nvidia 171.16 drivers. In AC mode my screen turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity, as I defined. The problem is that when it turns on the brightness is set all the way to the max.

Also, when windows starts up the brightness is again in the max!

    What's wrong with this thing?!

try to find out how to adjust the smartdimmer in the driver panel. I don't remember well, but I had the same problem, then fixed it with some adjustment at the smart dimmer

I think I always had this with my V6, but not with my M6 (both WinXP). It's in the ACPI drivers for me. Never bothered me much I'd just readjust the brightness.
