Hi i have been a lurker for some time,
and i recently purchased the wonderful G1S and im loving it. (my first laptop)
I have recently being trying to set up an external 17" CRT monitor..
and i would like some help please
I am wanting my laptop to be my primary and have the desktop on the laptop, with msn and all that.
And i am wanting my external monitor to be where i run my games, such as counter strike source.
but my problem is i am not sure what im doing and when i run CSS its run on my laptops monitor, and the external just remains a "wallpaper"

what setings do i need to set so the external is the one to have the games run on?

    anyhelp much appreciated

Use the FN+Fx function keys and use the LCD/CRT key.
This instead of using the extra desktops function (that will show another desktop) will send the data that would be sent to the laptop LCD to the external RGB-output.

I guess i have no knack for this >_<
I have tried thos key combinations, but all that is showing a small image of a laptop and CRT in center and thats about it.
Under display config, i have set it as laptop/CRT and with Laptop as primary

Before this, you need to disable dual-view from the display config, I believe.
So, "extend my desktop..." should be disabled.

Then press FN+F8 until the banner cycles to LCD+CRT. This will make your VGA output identical to the internal LCD output.
