I've pretty much decided I want an Asus G1S but since nobody in my country knows anything about it (when or IF it will be available, the price) I figured I would get one from the US. And in one month from now I will be in the US myself so I want to pick one up there.

Now the problem is I have no idea how easy it will be to find one there. I contacted GenTech (since their HQ is near LA) but they will only ship it out, no pickup. Does anybody know a shop near LA (or San Diego) that carries the G1S and will allow me to pick it up there, and preferably pay for it with my creditcard (since I got a goldcard that insures everything I pay with it).

I believe Mwave.com does. They're located in Walnut, CA (in eastern Los Angeles County). Check them out for more information.

It's still one month till I'm actually there, might be Best Buy gets it by then? I emailed Mwave, hope they'll get back to me about it.

Other option would be to go for the MacBook Pro, but I don't think I can justify the $500 premium....

Newegg is only online. Mwave hasn't gotten back to me.

MBP is looking more interesting by the day....
