    Hello,

I have a problem with my keyboard - when I press 3 keys at once the keyboard tends to lock-up for awhile. It's very frustrating since I play Battlefield 2 a lot and such situation prevents me from getting any satisfaction from the gameplay :/ It supposed to be a gaming laptop, but the keyboard doesn't allow for this. Does anyone know the issue? Maybe it's a matter of Microsoft's keyboard drivers (I have installed Windows 2003 Server, but on the other hand - on my Desktop there are no problems with w2k3)?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I know there have been such problems mentioned with ASUS laptops, i.e. some 3-key combination not working. Probably it's a limitation in the controller (or possibly hardware).

Possible solutions: 1. Use only CTRL, ALT, SHIFT modifier combinations (those have to work).
    2. External keyboard?

Of course it's a very obvious solution, but it supposed to be a gaming notebook :) I didn't pay a lot of money to carry additional and big keyboard with me all the time :) Hopefully someone will have this problem worked out.

If it is a limitation in the controller as I suspect it is, nobody will ever solve it :(

You can hope that it's a driver issue, however. Or use CTRL ALT and SHIFT only :)

    I am a very disappointed G1S owner.

CTRL does not work with the arrow keys correctly. Nor does SPACE.

    For example:
LEFT ARROW + DOWN ARROW + CTRL/WORK won't work on my laptop.

We should ask ASUS to fix the problem.
Most probably Asus will do nothing about it.
In that case we should sue Asus because the G1s is sold as a
gaming computer and it is assumed that at least the arrow keys
would work with the most common modifiers.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I will try to use some different drivers, but at this moment I'm quite busy so I think my results will be posted after this weekend. In my opinion we can't do anything about it - it's probably a hardware limitation.

G1S is not a bad notebook. In my opinion no notebook keyboard is suitable for gaming since they're very small. At this moment it frustrates me because I'm abroad and didn't have free space in my luggage for external one :)

I can tell you for sure that the other laptops that I have tried do not have this
    problem.

It is indeed a hardware problem which could be solved by substituting the keyboard controller with a better one.
Some low quality controllers suffer from this problem which also known as
    "keyboard ghosting" or "keyboard jamming".

I have verified the problem under OpenSuse.
This is something that Asus should fix also because one expects a fully-functioning
keyboard on a high end gaming rig as the G1S.
