    Hi all
I'm having a problem with the G1S. I bought a new Ipod touch and tried loading an audio CD to transfer into itunes. The laptop will not read any audio CD. I'm also having problem with it recognizing my ipod as a device. My comp with Xp can recognize the ipod.

I loaded a game into the G1S and it fired it up no problems.

    Any suggestions and/or advise?

    Thanks

Can the optical drive play audio CDs through Media Player?

If so then the issue is with the software that you are using to transfer the audio from CD to the iPod.

Make sure that the optical drive will read and write the appropriate media types rated for the drive. Often times if you are having trouble in one area it will present its self in another area.

The problem can be software based or hardware based. Rule out one or the other. Its easier to test the writing and reading of the drive first. If a problem exists reading and writing then boot into safe mode and test it again, as a last resort you may try reinstalling Windows and all drivers then testing again.

If the issue persists please contact your notebooks technical support. I hope this helps some.

    Hey TravisA -
    Thanks for the reply.

I can't seem to get Media Player to recognize an Audio CD. If I put in other CD's (i.e. picture CD, or games) the drive recognizes it.

I'm not too adept with computers so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

    Thanks
