    As the post says,

I'm looking to purchase a G1S, and was wondering for those who have a laptop cooler...

do you have a favorite that's quiet, fits in a bag, fits the G1S appropriately (not too big or small) and works like its suppose to?

    thanks!

I have a Thermaltake iXoft for my current laptop. It works great, really does what it's supposed to and it's silent!

I have the Antec Laptop Cooler. Used it with a DV9000t 17 inch laptop (before I returned it and bought a G1S :D ) and it worked well - the laptop fans didn't go on nearly as often when gaming. It was a tad small for the dv9000t so it should fit the G1S well. It's silent, light and cheap!

There was one 50 dollar one that someone showed me on these forums not to long ago, I can't remember the make or model, but it looks excellent. If I find it I will show you guys.

    EDIT: Found it. Zalman NC-1000

I hsve the same product and find my laptop is still hot to the touch. my cpu heat, i have been told, is below average. But the right side of my G1S is very hot, so i'd suggest getting a fan. The iXoft is nice if you wanna rest the laptop on your legs though. But if i could go back in time i'd take that money and buy a fan.

    *EDIT*
I see only a 1-2 degree(C) in difference in my cpu when i don't use the Thermapad.

i just ordered my g1s today, but i plan on buying the antec notebook cooler tomorrow to use in conjunction with it.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834999850

it's not too bad at roughly $30 and is usb-powered too. i use the same product for my 360 and it works great! i have heard of notebooks having problems down the road resulting from heating so i suggest you pick up a cooler once you decide to buy the g1s.

plus, it looks really sleek and should match the laptop nicely.

I have the Antec and it does indeed work well. One thing I don't like about it is that the laptop is higher sitting on it and it can be a tad awkward. Not enough of a big deal to make me buy something else (for now) but if I had to do it over again I'd probably give the Spire Pacific Breeze a shot as it only tilts the back of the laptop up.
