I got my old XP PRO cd to work switching the hard drive to compatibility move, instead of enhanced.
Now when I try to swap it back to enhanced after the installation, it just blue screens.
I tried it this way :

no luck, any ideas? Will there be a performance issue?

I'd recommend slipstreaming the SATA drivers into a new ISO. It worked perfectly for me (can't remember where I got the drivers, sorry. They were on the Intel site somewhere).

Is there a how to on how to slipstream correctly? Everytime I tried I failed, oddly.

for anyone else that needs a good how-to :

I hope it works! -
Well if you're not sure it works then you don't know yet it's a good how-to, do you?
