    I was wondering when restoring Windows VIsta from the DVD is the second drive (drive D) affected in any way?

    You can choose whether or not you want to restore that drive as well.

    IIRC, the options are:

    Restore C:
    Restore C: and D:
    Restore C: and D: and merge both into C:
