    hey guys,

got a bit of a weird problem here, Over the past month or two, when I've woken up in the morning, I see that my G1S is turned on and is in the windows login screen. I woke up at 3:00AM once and also saw that the laptop was on. I also make sure that the computer is completely turned off before I sleep so I don't know whats going on. Basically, the computer is turning on by itself and is not turning back off. Is it a scan that I have scheduled to go on at 3:00 in the night? or is some hacker trying to hack my files..

    thanks guys

    Your laptop is haunted.

But on a real note, make sure wake on lan and everything else is disabled and diagnostic it from there.

    This could be caused by:

Automatic updates for various software including Windows
    Media Center updates
    Scheduled defrags etc.

Check the Task Scheduler and make sure that no task is set to wake up/power on the computer in order to start.

The "Wake on" settings can be found in the BIOS. Make sure all of them are disabled.

yes you wouldn't. But it can easily kill a laptop which is kept in a bag overnight.

I still say: Bad design, Microsoft! BOOO! :)
