So the V1S will get the T7700 very, very soon.

    Same thing for the G1S?

No idea, but if the G1s will do that, then all ASUS notebooks will. The prices of the Intel chips haven't dropped considerable, I think the bump for the V1s was to appease consumers...?

I've been running a T7700 on my G1S since mid-July, when I bought it. I don't know about the V1S, but as far as I know, it's been available in the G1S since it started shipping.

The T7300 being 2ghz, T7500 being 2.2 and the T7700 being I assume 2.4. News to me if its in any g1s.

Are you sure about that? I thought the g1s was strictly T7500.

I remember seeing one website....I think Gentech when I first ran across that site....where you could upgrade the G1s to 2.4 Ghz, for a hefty price. But the next time I went to the site, the option was gone. This was back in late June I think.

I could be wrong...but ask Ken

Yeah, I'm absolutely sure. It was an upgrade feature on BTOTech's website. I can't remember how much it cost or whether it's still available as an option, but mine's surely got it. Double-checked before I made my first post.

Yes, this is true. In the Netherlands we already have this option, although it really depends on your retailer. Right now it comes standard with a T7500 and its up to the retailer to give the customer options to upgrade it.

The 8800GT is pushing it, perhaps the 8700GT at stock(since the 8600GT in the G1s can reach that level OC"ed)

I believe you can still purchase an upgrade to the T7700 at xoticpc. I believe they also lowered the price for the upgrade.
