    Hi,

    If using XP or Vista install with 4GB RAM, how many RAM the OS can using? 3.5GB or just 3GB only?

    And which brand RAM is good and suit for the G1S?

    3.5gb will be detected coz its 32bit o.s....64bit os and mac os x detect the full 4gb

    Yes but even so in some systems you actually can't use more than 3GB. The one way to tell for sure is if someone with the same system and 4GB of RAM tells you how much they can use.

    E.B.E is right, and because he is i would suggest you get 3GB instead of 4. Also, pretty much any ram(pc2 5300/5400) will work, but i myself have G.Skill
