I'd appreciate if someone could give this a shot.

I've noticed that if I put the laptop up at a vertical angle, say with the edge of the keyboard on my stomach and the screen looking directly down at me, the fan of the computer kicks on to full.

It's making me wonder if my sensor isn't positioned properly as it does cool down quite a bit. Changing the orientation back to normal usage makes the fan go back to 'normal' operation.

Thanks. Usually takes about 15-30 seconds for the fan to kick up to topspeed when the orientation of the system is vertical, could be a minute.

Goes back down to 'normal' speeds almost immediately when returned to a horizontal position

lol bump for a good cause. None of you tried it? Just tilt your laptop straight up so your computer looks like an upside down L

yep, it's true. just be carefull because it's the GPU that has that problem. The "liquid" inside the heatpipe has to be on the horizontal position so it can transport the heat from the gpu to the cold/fan.
