Ok, So I got my G1S today and it is amazing already. First, I havent been experiencing any sound issues as I saw in this thread before so that's good.

    Anyway, my question.

I am looking to optimize performance. Are there any programs I should take off or take off the startup menu? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Norton and LiveUpdate can go, the rest is up to you.

i dont know how experianced you are with computrs but, first uninstall every thing you dont want. next, in "run" type "MSCONFIG" then in the "startup" tab, disable anything you dont need. only do the last step if you actually know whats going on when you get to the tab. i hav evista home premium and only 41 proccesses. thats correct, 41
