I just reinstalled Vista on my laptop and now none of the hotkeys work (for example play/pause button or the enable/disable touchpad).
    I installed ATK Generic Function
    ATK OSD2
    and ATK Hotkey
... the volume up and down and those with the fn key work just not the rest.

    Second issue:
No sound out of the speakers... well unless i put the volume down to 0 and then back up again. i tried the drivers supplied from asus.com and then the newest ones from realtek and still same thing.

I am completely stumped here, before i reinstalled all these worked correctly so I must be missing something small.

    Thank you

    Bleh... realized what was wrong.
We had sent back the notebook to ASUS to fix a problem and when we got it back it was bios verion 202 when I thought it was 300.
The hotkey issue was resolved but the sound issue I still have to put it down to 0 then back up but I don't have to do that every time I want to switch from headphone to the built-in speakers.
Going to try a newer version of the audio drivers and see if that resolves the problem.
    Thanks

Also make sure to have the actual ATK drivers installed (called ATK100 or something similar) before all the rest of the ATK applications.
