Hi everyone, I owned this laptop about 2 months now and everything with the laptop is great. I even upgraded the memory to 3GB and got the lastest video driver. My problem is that when I browse the internet the way it loads the pages and get connected to the sites seems to be very very slow. I try using firefox, opera, and other but still it didn't help much.

I am current using a netgear wireless router which connect the laptop. I also tried several other laptops which i borrowed from my friends but when they're connected the way the internet loads is so much faster. I have tried it on the new Vaio, HP, and alienware.

Also, there were several times where the wifi connection drops and I would have to disable it by hitting fn+f2 and enable it in order for it to get it to work.

Does any one have any idea to help me improve the way the explorer loads the pages? and fixing the problem on how the wifi connection would just drop? Please help

I am really concern because I have used several vistas and the way the internet works on them are so much faster comparing to my G1S-A1.

    many thanks in advance.

I would first try a driver update. Maybe something is buggy, or power profiles are messed up.

Otherwise, there might be something wrong with the wireless card or the antenna itself...

There is an update driver for the 4965 agn network card at the intel site.

If the netgear is a newer one, then it might have N networking capability, but to get the faster speeds you have to increase the encryption strength.

I had to do a lot of digging on this for my new dlink router, but now everything is lightning. I'm using the laptop as a media extender on my Xbox360 and it's lots fast.

it is a good idea to set your router to default settings. test the connection then. if works fine start enabling the security. try swithching from intel client to MS client instead
